I want everyone to be able to use jmassena.com, whatever device or assistive technology they rely on. I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What I have done
- Text meets at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio; the green accent is 7.1:1 on the cream background.
- Every page has a single main heading and a logical heading structure.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline, and a “skip to content” link is the first element on every page.
- Buttons and menu controls are at least 44 by 44 pixels on touch screens.
- Photos of me have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- The diagrams on the case studies include a text summary for screen readers.
- Animations are turned off if your system is set to reduce motion.
- The page language is declared, so screen readers use the right pronunciation.
Known limitations
- The CV is a PDF and may not be fully accessible to every screen reader. The same information is on the Work and About pages.
- On small screens, the case study diagrams scroll sideways inside their frame.
- LinkedIn and ProductPulse are external services outside my control.
